* Maximum length of stay; 2 day/nights, unless otherwise agreed with Pontoon Management.
* You may stay for up to 4 hours free-of-charge, but you must give dockside preference to those who have an allocated berth.
* If you leave your boat whilst on a temporary visit you must leave in a conspicuous position your mobile number and your anticipated return time. 4 hour maximum period of absence.
* For stays of more than 4 hours or overnight, you must use this form to request a berth and pay in advance via bank transfer. Upon submission of the form you will receive a return email confirming if the space is available and advising how to pay.
* Fees for BSC members is £10 per day. For non-members, £20 per day. To qualify for the BSC members rate, your membership type must be FULL or HOUSEHOLD.
* BurntIsland Marina is located within a commercial harbour. All users are required to be aware and give way as necessary and particularly to large vessels. The harbour gates are activated on occasion to facilitate large vessels, with the gates opened at high water for equalisation. The presence of large vessels is not a regular occurrence and information, if available, will be given to the visiting craft regarding times. (Visitors may wish to consult online websites such as MarineTraffic to check for the presence, movements and itineraries (if available) of large vessels in real time).
* The Visitors pontoon is located immediately to starboard on entering the East dock gates. It is recommended that vessels be moored with bows facing west (normally port side to) which most often gives you head to wind aspect
* Berthing procedures require vessels to be secured with fore and aft lines and springs, preferably all with compensators and sufficient fenders (minimum 3). The Club reserves the right to refuse, shift or move any craft if required, at the owner’s risk.
* Skippers should ensure that their mast is offset from the adjacent yacht to prevent clashing of masts.
* Electricity and water are not currently available on the pontoon.
* Rubbish disposal is not available on land and must be shipped out for disposal elsewhere.
* Disposal of bilge water is prohibited anywhere in the harbour.
* The pontoons must not be obstructed at any times by fenders, dinghies, kit bags or similar.
* At all times, please use the sanitary facilities available in the clubhouse as disposal of black and brown water into the harbour water is forbidden.
* The code given on acceptance of your booking provides access through the security gate at the land entrance to the pontoons and to the club toilet/shower facilities. This code is for your use only and must not be given to third parties. The security gate must be closed at all times. Wedging the gate open is prohibited. The code is changed from time to time.
* A new security fencing system has been installed and managed by Forth Ports Authority which requires a pass card to gain access. Exiting the gate simply requires pressing the adjacent green exit button, but re-entry will require you to contact gate security from the entry pedestal and to supply the remote gate operator with your details. If sufficient notice of your visit has been given, the information required by security will have been forwarded to the gate operator by BSC on completion of payment of your visit.
* The Club accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising out of the negligence of the club, any of the club’s Directors or any member’s or visitor’s negligence.
* In the event of any damage caused by a visiting boat or crew member, visitors’ contact details may be shared with relevant third parties.
* Should you wish to extend your booking period, a further online application must be made and confirmed. Otherwise, the berth must be vacated by 1030 on day of departure.
* At busy times, rafting of vessels may be required.
PLEASE NOTE: No requested berth has been confirmed unless you receive acknowledgment of payment.
For further enquiries of clarification, please contact the Pontoon Manager on 07547 485 876.

This picture shows the approach to Burntisland harbour from the South. Upon passing through the harbour entrance, leave the yacht moorings and wooden pier to starboard, then pass through the entranceway into the East Dock. Unless you have been given an alternative berth number, the regular visitor’s berth is as shown, at the north end of the pontoon development. (Image: Google)
